UNEP Bridging the Emissions Gap
This report addresses the question of whther the emissions gap can be addressed. It concludes there is abundant evidence that emission reductions of between 14 to 20 Gt of CO2 equivalent are possible by 2020 and without any significant technical or financial breakthroughs needed.

Long-term Trend in Global CO2 Emissions – 2011
PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre have developed preliminary analysis of CO2 emissions on the basis of energy consumption data for 2008 to 2010 recently published by BP. The estimates are also based on production data for cement, lime, ammonia and steel and emissions per country from 1970 to 2008 from version 4.2 of the Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research.

Paying the Price
The Canadian based National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE) has released its report “Climate Prosperity Paying the Price: The Economic Impacts of Climate Change for Canada”. Its analysis leads to the conclusion that Climate change will be expensive for Canada and Canadians. It not only identifies the environmental cost of climate change, it also presents the economic cost associated with not responding to climate impacts adapting to protect ourselves.

GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard
